The Chinese Catch-22

Every department has its rules that employees must obey, which the leaders declare that it benefits the whole. If someone breaks the rule, he will be punished. But in fact, it’s the rule just punish the kind and weak people, and it’s not the rule for everyone. If you have the “Guan Xi” or money, you will be saved by the leaders from the rule. It is relative. If the kind and weak person doesn’t break the rule, the leaders just find other excuses to kick them away. People have no faith in the rules. But the rules still exist. It’s like Joseph Heller’s Catch-22,  In short, its basic meaning is that if there is a rule, no matter what the rule is,there is always an exception
to it.The catch is used by the superior powers to uphold and increase their power, and yet it is harmful to 
to those who do not have power in the first place. 
 

For example, in my high school, there is a rule-- if less than 80% students don’t satisfied about the teacher, the teacher will be warned and be cut off some of his/her salaries. For the third time (two checks per year), he/she will be forced to leave the school. But if you have “Guan Xi” to the leaders or the person who is in charge of the affair, the result of the numbers will change suddenly and you will be saved. I didn’t do that because most students liked me and the marks of them are good, so I released. I thought I only worked for 2 years, the leaders may give me more chances to work even I may have some errors in my teaching. One day I was surprised that the leaders still found some excuse to sent me away, so I leave the school to come here. The leaders just kick off the kind and weak employees for fun and showing their superior power. Even I didn’t break the rule, I have to go, why? I felt desperate about my future.

向四川灾区遇难者默哀

今天是全国哀悼日。14：28分我站立着，心情惆怅，任凭眼泪飞舞。这几天我天天都陪伴着收音机，听抗震救灾的消息。我看到了中国政府真正的把救人为第一要务。很多平凡的人做出了另我们感动的事情。今天全国人民默哀三分钟，并下半旗，人的生命在当代中国被充分的重视，这加深了我对祖国的热爱。

地震了，我却不知道！

今天下午要不是公公给我们打电话，我们都不知道地震了。下楼后发现很多人已经在街上了。心里真有些后怕，要不是家人通知，要不是地震震级小，恐怕就死在屋里了。现在想想，自己也太忽视生活的细节了。安全才是第一位的。明天早上就要去中州大学面试了。本来打算洗头，由于地震，现在也不敢回家了。

终于答辩完了

哈哈，5月三号答辩完后，我和同学好好玩了玩，并照了好多照片。我已经把照片放到相册里。不过我还要感谢那些在我写作论文过程中为我付出的家人还有我的导师费小平。没有他们，就没有现在的成绩。
